Fans of the Shin Megami Tensei franchise have been waiting for more information to finally grace the general public since the game was unveiled a few years ago. We’ve been seeing this project get developed with little to no information making its way out. Fortunately, we finally got the game brought back out into the public once again during today’s Nintendo E3 2021 media conference stream.
Along with the trailer, we got the confirmation on just when this game will be hitting the marketplace. Before we get ahead of ourselves, Shin Megami Tensei V will be following the same trends as you would expect from this franchise. The trailer showcased today highlighted our protagonist wandering into a new Tokyo which is full of demons and angels. As you progress through the game, you’ll get the ability to call upon these demonic enemies to aid you through negotiations. Again, if you played the previous games from this franchise then you’ll find the gameplay mechanics will be familiar here.
What you might find of interest is that we finally get a release date. Currently, Shin Megami Tensei V is slated to hit the marketplace on November 12, 2021. Of course, that’s if there are no delays that pop up which would likely push this game out of the 2021 calendar year and into a release sometime within 2022. At least for now the game is still working to make its way out into the marketplace later this year.

Another aspect of this game is that this will be a Nintendo Switch exclusive. If you’re a fan of the franchise then you might need to get yourself either the Nintendo Switch or the Nintendo Switch Lite to enjoy this title. At any rate, you’ll have plenty of time to pick up a console as again this title won’t hit the marketplace until November of this year. If you missed out on the Nintendo Direct upload, you can check the trailer for Shin Megami Tensei V in the video embedded above.
