The Mario Party franchise has been around since the Nintendo 64 and it was a huge success for Nintendo. It brought out a virtual board game for players to play and a collection of minigames. Although the latest iteration that launched into the marketplace was not the biggest hitter for fans. To get things back on track, Nintendo has announced the Mario Party Superstars.
During today’s Nintendo E3 2021 media stream, we got a series of updates and announcements on what’s coming out with this iconic video game company. Among the slew of announcements was Mario Party Superstars which will bring out a collection of five Mario Party boards from the Nintendo 64 collection of Mario Party video games. These will be revamped and built for HD with players getting access to the memorable boards later this year.
Among the announcement of the boards, we have over a hundred different minigames as well which includes plenty of iconic classics from again the Nintendo 64 era of Mario Party games. This should spark some interest from not only veteran players who enjoyed the IP during the first few big installments for this franchise but also new fans who have yet to experience the different boards and minigames originally.
Best of all, this is a game that will offer online multiplayer support. You can play with friends or with other players online. We’re not sure just how the game will progress if a player jumps off the game or losses connection, but this will likely be a welcomed feature for fans that enjoy the more competitive gameplay against real components rather than AI. In the meantime, we can mark our calendars for Mario Party Superstars as it’s slated to release on October 29, 2021. For now, you can check out the announcement trailer embedded above.
