Speaking to CVG, EA COO Peter Moore said that the company's recently announced Netflix-like Access program will have a "substantial" library, or Vault, or games, including major new releases.
EA Access, which costs $4.99 per month and $29.99 per year, includes Madden NFL 25, FIFA 14, Battlefield 4, and Peggle 2 in its beta test but Moore says there's plenty more on the way.
"The Vault will get its share of triple-A titles. We haven't made any announcements to that extent about exactly when, where and how, but the Vault will be substantial."
While he says no games which are offered in the Vault will be removed from it, Moore adds that EA hasn't quite worked exactly what they're going to put in to begin with.
"New game additions will be determined by franchise and timing. We have to make decisions along that way, so there's no template, like 30 days after a game ships it goes into the Vault.
"I think one of the key things is that once a game goes into the Vault it stays there, it's not going to be taken out, that's a commitment we've made."
Those who subscribe to EA Access can avail of 10 per cent off DLC and will get early access to games including FIFA 15, Madden NFL 15, NHL 15, NBA LIVE 15, and Dragon Age: Inquisition.
As it stands, EA Access will be exclusive to Xbox One after Sony turned down EA's offering, arguing it did not represent "good value" for PlayStation gamers. Of course, Sony has PlayStation Now, a game rental service which may offer subscriptions eventually, currently in beta in North America and likely doesn't want rival competing services on their platforms.
Asked to give his reaction to Sony's stance, Moore said, "It's tough for me to comment on Sony's comments. I think they made themselves pretty clear."
We should expect to hear plenty more about EA Access and the European rollout of PlayStation Now at gamescom next week.
