The Barclays Premier League is getting incorporated into FIFA 15,in a way that recaptures the Barclays syndicated television experience.
For this year’s game, EA Sports is bringing in 20 of the league’s arenas to the game. These are: Anfield, Boleyn Ground, Britannia Stadium, Emirates Stadium, Etihad Stadium, Goodison Park, KC Stadium, King Power Stadium, Liberty Stadium, Loftus Road, Old Trafford, Selhurst Park, St James’ Park, St Mary’s Stadium, Stadium of Light, Stamford Bridge, The Harthrons, Turf Moor, Villa Park, and White Hart Lane.
They have also gone the extra mile in recreating the TV viewing Barclays experience, with reworked scans of the players, recreation of the actual Barclays Broadcast graphics, realistic audio and commentary, all seemingly ripped off the telly. They scanned over 200 of Barclays’ world-famous players, with these new scans resulting in impressively close resemblances between the players and their in-game counterparts/ There is even a new goal line decision system, that emulates how actual Barclays broadcasts instant replays, complete with broadcaster commentary and everything.
You would think EA would just go ahead and make the Barclays Premier League their own game, but I guess they only have faith in the FIFA name. Well, maybe if Barclays proves popular enough, EA may try to spin it off, but I am not holding my breath for it personally.
FIFA 15 is coming September 23 to 3DS, PS3, PS4, Vita, Wii, Windows, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. You can watch their special announce trailer below.
