Turtle Rock's humans-vs-monster shooter Evolve has been pushed back until February 10th, 2015.
News of the delay was revealed during publisher TakeTwo's finanical report for the first quarter of fiscal year 2015. The game was originally set for release on October 21st but, like a raft of other games originally set for that month, has now been moved into the new year.
Battlefield Hardline, Batman Arkham Knight, and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt were all among the game initially set for release in or around October. Dragon Age: Inquistion has also been moved, but only by a month – it's now releasing on November 18th.
Evolve sees players either team up in groups of four human soldiers or play as the monster they hunt. As the game progresses, the monster becomes more powerful, or evolves, and the hunters become the hunted.
There are still plenty of key games coming this year of course, including Destiny, The Sims 4, Assassin's Creed Unity and Rogue, Far Cry 4, and more. TakeTwo subsidiary 2K Games will also be releasing Civilization Beyond Earth, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, NBA 2K15, and WWE 2K15.
In its financial report, TakeTwo announced a loss of $35.4 million for the quarter but its performance beat expectations. Despite Evolve's delay, the company estimates revenue of between $1.35 billion and $1.45 billion for the fiscal year.
