Developer Switchblade Monkeys has announced today that a fifth character is joining the gunslinger ranks in Secret Ponchos. Well, I suppose she's in a class all her own, because the Matador doesn't use a gun at all! She may seem out of the water in a top-down, twin-stick shooter, but the Matador and her sabre have no problems quickly closing the distance between her and her opponents. She's currently available for free for any players who have purchased the game via Steam Early Access.
Coinciding with the Matador's arrival are four-by-four matches in Domination mode, a new last-man-standing Deathmatch mode, and a new map called the Ranch. On top of that, the game is marked down 40% to $8.99, and purchasing a copy will give you another one to gift to a friend. Both of these deals will run through August 18.
Secret Ponchos is scheduled for release on PS4 as well, though the actual date has yet to be finalized. For now, enjoy the multiplayer madness on Steam.
