Tetsuya Nomura, the guy who likes drawing belts all over his characters in Square Enix's Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy titles, says that players can find some hints regarding Kingdom Hearts III in the 3DS title, Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance.
In an interview with Famitsu, the designer said that KH3 will be the final chapter of Xehanor's story within the Kingdom Hearts series, but that it will not be the end of the franchise itself. Sora will continue to be the protagonist in future games beyond KH3, he said.
Square Enix intends to bring the game to HD consoles, meaning that the release of the game on the PlayStation 3, and possibly the Xbox 360, are very likely.
No release date has been given for either Dream Drop Distance or Kingdom Hearts 3.
