A fan of Fallout managed to recreate one of the most ironic locations in Fallout 3 within Minecraft through the use of its powerful world building tool that has seen players recreate everything from the world of Westeros from George R.R. Martin’s Game of Thrones series on HBO, to countless adventure maps.
It’s not the first time the world of Fallout has been given tribute in Minecraft, as attested to by the Fallout Deadstate adventure map, but it’s certainly the first time a location from Fallout 3 has been faithfully reproduced. There are aims to recreate the whole map with this new project, dubbed Project Capital Wasteland.
According to its creator dvnt6 on Reddit, he used textures from Fallout 3 as well as grass and objects from the Last Days texture pack to create the location.
His plan is to recreate the whole world of Fallout 3, which spans the Capital Wasteland to areas surrounding it.
