We have a little bit of information that is this close to confirming Mega Evolution Camerupt and Sharpedo for Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
OK, so this information come from an official channel, AKA the weekly TV show Pokemon GET TV. Shoko Nakagawa and company shared a few seconds of footage, including Mega MetaGross in action, and also part of the soundtrack.
However, the real highlight here is that they confirmed that both of the bosses of Team Aqua and Team Flare, Maxie and Archie, are wearing Mega Evolution Stones as part of their costumes. Of course, this means they do have Mega Evolution Pokemon, but we fell short of confirming what the two bosses’ main Pokemon could be.
Of course, in the original Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, Maxie and Archie had other Pokemon, but both Camerupt and Sharpedo were their most powerful Pokemon. Maybe Mightyena, Zubat, and Crobat could get Mega Evolutions too, but Camerupt and Sharpedo seem to be highly likely, safe bets. It really is mostly a matter of when they will confirm it, and it is doubtful that they will keep this under wraps until the games release – unless it is part of some major plot twist.
Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be released for the 3DS this November 21.
