Gods Will Be Watching Released, Gets Launch Trailer

July 24, 2014 by Stephen Daly

You won’t want to be a Skyrim adventurer in a game that lets you shoot people in the knee.

Deconstructeam and Devolver Digital's Gods Will Be Watching, described as a "minimalistic 'point and click thriller' centered on despair, commitment, and sacrifice" has been PC, Linux, and Mac.

There are two versions of Gods Will Be Watching available; a standard edition ($9.99) and a collector’s edition ($19.99) which includes the original soundtrack, a digital art book, and a prologue-digital comic that serves as the prologue to the events of the game.

The game is all about decisions such as "hostage situations and wilderness survival to biological weapon prevention and agonizing torture scenarios." Ultimately, players will need to choose between saving their own team or preventing genocide.

Devolver's fictitious CFO Fork Parker commented in a press release that, “My usual video game strategy of shooting everyone I encounter in the face has proven to be impractical in Gods Will Be Watching. Shooting people in the knee works though. So that’s nice.”

You can check out the game's launch trailer below.
