After Reset RPG from LA based developer Black Cloud Studios is looking to expand its offerings with several stretch goals added to the game's already successful Kickstarter campaign.
A sci-fi post-apocalypse game, After Reset RPG is inspired by the likes of Fallout 1 & 2, Baldur's Gate, and Planetscape: Torment. The developers say that the game features more locations than the first two Fallouts combined a non-linear story which will give players "the freedom to choose between a ton of branches and endings which influence the whole setting – even beyond the game you play."
In After Reset RPG, alien devices known as the 'Artifacts' destroy much of civilization but some manage to survive underground for more than a century before returning to the surface where they encounter a new species which was born from the devastation. Weapons and settings are intended to be realistic in the game, which will be set in Nevada and California.
The Kickstarter remains open for 28 days and those who give $12 or more receive a digital copy of cinematic graphic novel The Fall of Gyes. Higher tiers include a physical boxed collectior's edition and access to a closed alpha and beta test.
After Reset RPG is headed to PC, Mac, and Linux. Richard Nixon is the name of the project lead by the way, the game has nothing to do with America's 37th president.
