This is a list of secrets and hidden items in Dark Souls 2’s DLC. We will update it as we find new secrets and items to share with you.
We don't need to tell you this, but of course, this place is spoiler city.
Crown of the Sunken King
1 – You can talk to Varrick after beating him. To accomplish this, you need to go the room where you killed Vendrick, and inspect his armor, which is strewn across the floor. You will need the Ashen Mist Heart for this to work.
Basically, Varrick gives you a fancy title, explains how you, like Varrick himself, are basically screwed for following the same path he did, and tells you to come back (presumably when playing the other DLC). You can get even more dialogue from him if you bring the King’s Ring along. Basically, as long as you have the Ashen Mist Heart, you can come back and visit him as often as you’d like.
2 – There’s a mysterious Ent-like creature you can find deep in the map. We are sharing a visual guide below, but basically, when you run across a small set of statues (arranged like jizo statues) out of the way, you can strike the head of the rightmost statue to open a patch to a secret cave. Inside the cave is a mysterious tree which appears to have eyes.
