Grand Theft Auto 5: How to Play as a Different Character Without a Modded Console

July 23, 2014 by Ian Miles Cheong

You won’t need a modded console to play as a different character in GTA 5 with this guide.

Ever wish you could play as a different character in Grand Theft Auto 5? Now you can.

Game hackers have discovered a way to play as a different character model in Grand Theft Auto 5 by way of altering the savegame files and transferring them through USB. The hack only works offline in single-player mode and doesn’t require you to have a modded console.

You can play as almost any character in the game, ranging from characters you might find, to hidden models like John Marston of Red Dead Redemption. You can also play as certain animals.

If you’re bored and want to play as Big Foot or some other hidden character, check out the guide at se7ensins and watch the following video.

Keep in mind that this stuff doesn't work in GTA Online.
