The first expansion pack for Hearthstone, titled the Curse of Naxxramas, has finally been dated for release. It comes out next week in the United States, followed by a day later in Europe, Blizzard has confirmed.
Naxxramas is the first single-player expansion for the game, and provides players with access to a series of increasingly challenging boss fights, along with new cards and a new game board. The entire pack is divided into five “wings”, each of which is home to multiple bosses that players will have to face.
Blizzard has announced its intent to release one wing per week, over a period of five weeks, in the following order: Arachnid Quarter, Plague Quarter, Military Quarter, Construct Quarter, and Frostwyrm Lair.
Each wing is set to cost $6.99 or 700 in-game gold, currency which can be earned by playing the game normally and completing daily challenges. The first wing will be available for free to everyone.
