CI Games have confirmed the release date of Lords of the Fallen. Dated for release on October 31, the game is set for release on the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with Square Enix set to distribute the game on behalf of CI Games, which remains the publisher.
This Dark Souls-like game is in development at CI Games, formerly known as City Interactive.
According to the game’s premise, players take on the role of a man named Harkyn who lives in a world where the Gods have failed mankind and where he must take up arms against the Fallen God. Decisions players make throughout the game will affect the narrative and overall world as they fight beings that serve and defy the Fallen God.
Players can take on the role of classic RPG staple classes including the warrior, rogue, and cleric. It is possible to switch between classes by donning class-specific armor. Each class has its own set of special moves that they can activate based on action points.
With Lords of the Fallen set for release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One this fall, it seems like this will be quite a good year for fantasy RPGs, especially with Dragon Age: Inquisition also on the way.
