We have a special treat for you today: eight minutes of gameplay of Pro Evolution Soccer 2015, as it appears on the Playstation 4.
As you may have guessed ,this is all off-screen footage, and heavily layered with commentary audio, presumably to get around copyright hunting spiderbots. However, there should be no doubt that this is the genuine article.
To be honest, the footage is not really the best. It’s too far off to tell how much improved the graphcis are compared to 7th generation consoles, and it most especially isn’t close enough for us to see how much FOX engine helped with the player likenesses. If anything, this footage is noteworthy for simply being one of the 1st out there.
Konami did promise the game has a new shooting system, and you can see it in action here. Obviously, due to language barriers, we can’t share for you what our source is saying here (If a fan wants to volunteer with their translation in the comments, it’d be highly appreciated!). You can see mid-video the camera shift as a player is positioned for apparently a free kick. You can also see goalkeeper defending from an attempt to score, a few attempts to score, and a lot of passing. Konami claims overall gameplay is easier and more intuitive.
Well, you can see the footage for yourself below. Do you think it lives up to Konami’s claims? Let us know in the comments below. PES 2015 is coming this September to Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.
