We have new information on a familiar face returning for Dragon Age 3: Inquisition. Leliana remains lovely, and as past players know, demonstrably deadly in her loyalty.
Indeed, Leliana is one of the most longest lived characters in the Dragon Age canon, having been there since Dragon Age Origins. She was there to help the Warden face the blight, even as it made her run into conflict with her own choices. In Leliana’s song, we know that she faced her former mentor and lover Marjoraine, and in the fallout of that encounter became a woman of faith.
She is assigned Left Hand of the Divine by Divine Justinia V by Dragon Age 2, and in this capacity sought to stop the Mage-Templar War.
She has been in the thick of things since before the war started, and so in joining the Inquisition, brings not only much experience in these affairs, but her own politics, as not everyone (including the people in your own party) will find her welcome.
Leliana will be a fine member of your party, assuming you earn her trust. I am sure veteran Dragon Age fans will welcome her return to the world of the Inquisition, but are also thinking that this raises more questions than answers. I mean, aside from the romance options, which I am sure was not the only thing that was in your minds. Of course not.
Dragon Age 3: Inquisition will be out for Windows, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4 on October 7, 2014.
