DayZ has received its latest update, marked 0.46.124490. We’re going through the details on it for you here.
This update includes a lot of new goodies, but we think you’ll want to read about the fixes first. So, animations have been fixed for leather backpack crafting, breaking apart backpacks, meat duplication and eating meat from the fireplace, painting the 75AKM drum magazine, etc.
Animations for gestures for poses, jump and vault, arming two hands, and zombie attacks have also been fixed, as well as issues with vomiting, drinking, surrender, etc.
New stuff include reloads for the B95 and MP5K, the maps Karmanovka and Novodmitrovsk, including the industrial and tenement areas, Dobroes village, flashbang and hand grenades.
This being Dayz, issues remain, and these are the known issues outlines for now: FPS drops associated with shadows, character cloning, Fireplace kit crash, zombie respawns after just dying, players getting stuck in buildings and failing to respawn properly, and an issue that keeps a restrained player unconscious, until they reconnect.
The update is out now at a reasonable 772.3 MB, and as some fans attest, the improvements have led to much improved gameplay. Bohemia Interactive promised that ragdoll physics were on the way, coming in the next update after this one.
