After releasing some fresh footage of their 3DS eShop game Azure Striker Gunvolt, Inti Creates and Keiji Inafune's comcept studio have rolled out new video of their biggest upcoming project, Mighty No. 9. According to yesterday's Kickstarter update, the above reel showcases bits and pieces of Mighty No. 2 and 5's levels — No. 2 is a water-gushing robot while No. 5 is more geared towards heavy combat.
Mighty No. 9, in case you've forgotten, was announced last year at PAX Prime. It's a spiritual sequel to the Mega Man franchise that borrows heavily from its predecessor while introducing new elements, such as the ability to retrieve material from fallen stage enemies which can then be used to alter your form and grant new abilities. The main hero is named Beck, but he also has a female counterpart named Call who will be playable in her own missions. The update above demonstrates some of Call's animations in animated GIF form.
Mighty No. 9 is targetting an April 2015 release on nearly every current platform — Windows, Max, Linux, PS4, PS3, PS Vita, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, and 3DS.
