Godzilla returned to terrorize cinemas last month, and now he's carving a path of destruction onto PS3 in a new mission-based action game by Bandai Namco. According to the Japanese outlet Famitsu, Godzilla will sport special effects that evoke the style of effects from the original Toho movies.
The game is currently only announced for release in Japan. However, considering that this is more or less a tie-in with the recent American-made film, and considering that all the console Godzilla games released over the past decade have found their way out west, there's a great possibility that Bandai Namco will announce localization plans in the near future.
Enjoy the trailer for the time being. Hopefully we'll see ol' "Gojira" on our PS3s not long after the Japanese get their fix this winter.
