Hyrule Warriors: Twilight Princess Costumes, Midna, Agitha, And Lana

June 26, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

Twilight Princess is getting a lot of love in Koei’s take on The Legend of Zelda mythos.

We have several new screenshots for you from upcoming Tecmo Koei game Hyrule Warriors.

Let’s start off with the big news: Tecmo Koei has revealed on their site that you will be able to choose the Twilight Princess costumes for Link and Zelda. As you can see, they basically look the part, no questions asked.

They released a new batch of screenshots earlier showing off some of the new playable characters in action. We already know Midna will be in the game, now we see Agitha and Lana in action.

In The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Midna was would be ruler of the Twili until Zant cursed her into an Imp form. Many of her abilities as an imp have transferred over to Hyrule Warriors, namely, her use of her hair as a fist, and also being able to ride around a wolf, although this one is clearly not Link anymore. Of course, Midna brought her own Twili troops to the party as well. If you’re wondering, Cia cursed Midna this time around, although, big surprise, Zant is appearing in the game as well.

Agitha was also in Twilight Princess, a 10 year old in lolita-style clothing with an affinity for bugs. She called herself a princess of the insect kingdom, but in Hyrule Warriors, Koei has made that joking fantasy a reality. Her attacks involve summoning butterflies, and, of course, use of her parasol.

Finally, little is known of new character Lana, but I don’t have to tell you she seems to resemble Cia in some way. Note the blue white hair and similar skin tone. I personally believe it’ll be revealed that the two are related in some way, possibly sisters or cousins (or mother and daughter? eep). It’s also possible they’re both witches from the same clan, under the same teacher, etc. In any case, Lana uses magic, apparently pulled from a book she carries around.

Check out our gallery of Cia, Agitha, and Lana in action, as well as a few screenshots of the Twilight Princess world, below.

Hyrule Warriors will be releasing August 12 exclusively on the Wii U.
