Mama Returns to the Kitchen This September for Cooking Mama 5 on 3DS

After tending her azaleas this past spring in Gardening Mama 2, Mama is ready to go back behind the cutting board for Cooking Mama 5: Bon Appétit, set to tickle taste buds this September on 3DS. According to publisher Majesco's press release, Cooking Mama 5 will sport over 60 new recipes, from pork cutlet rice bowls to Hawaiian pancakes. Mama won't be cooped up in the kitchen for long, as she'll also be able to engage in activities outside of the house, including feeding pet birds, serving ice cream, and playing word games.

New to the series is Cooking Dojo, a mode in which Mama trains in the culinary arts decked in a traditional karate gi. You'll also be able to acquire items via SpotPass which can then be used to decorate the kitchen and Mama's outfit. Finally, you can engage in local four-player cookoffs using a single game cart for download play.

The Cooking Mama series has sold over 13 million copies worldwide and doesn't seem to be slowing down. As long as people are hungry, they'll keep coming back to the kitchen. Make your reservations before Cooking Mama 5 arrives on 3DS in September.
