Play Titanfall Free As The Launch Origin Game Time Game

June 20, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

Moving forward, Origin owners can look forward to a lot of free games.

EA has unveiled a brand new program for Origin, called Origin Game Time. The program launches with Respawn’s latest powerhouse, Titanfall.

Origin Game Time is essentially EA’s answer to Steam Free Weekend. Under the program, you get to play one of EA’s premium games for free on your PC for a limited time frame.

We’ve been careful not to refer to it asfree-to-play to avoid any confusion. The game is not being modified in any way; you will get to play the full game, with access to everything. The only limitation is the 48 hour time limit. There is a timer that activates as soon as you activate Origin, and it will keep running one it starts. Furthermore, if you do decide to purchase Titanfall via Origin later, you will get access to that saved data again.

We don’t know if EA is giving a grace period for when you can activate Origin Game Time (Monday? Most of the following week?) but if they’re changing it next week, of course, you will want to avail it sooner rather than later.

This is simply the latest of many actions EA has taken to entice gamers to sign up for Origin. Future games will have Game Time of different duration, so Origin members may look forward to even better deals in the near future. We’ll make sure to keep tabs on this platform and let you know if more great deals come for it in the future.
