Evolve Reveals the Kraken With Latest Trailer

June 12, 2014 by Stephen Daly

This monster can attack several enemies at once and can fly.

Evolve developer Turtle Rock has revealed a new monster for the game, the kraken, in the trailer below.

The game, from Left 4 Dead's developers, allows players to take on the role of one of four human characters – hunter, trapper, medic, support – or that of the monster.

While four against one might not seem fair, Evolve's monsters are large and powerful and we see the kraken has multiple appendages, allowing it to attack serveral humans at once. The kraken also appears to be to fly or at least hover, opening up new gameplay options.

Evolve launches on October 21st but Xbox One players will be able to test it out before then in the beta this autumn and will also have early access to the game's DLC. Evolve is also coming to PC and PS4.

You can check out our Evolve preview, which applauded the game's unpredictability thanks to the human-controlled monster, here.
