Bungie released a new gameplay experience trailer for Destiny to coincide with E3 this weekend. It featured Bungie co-founder Jason Jones as he narrated the different things to experience in the game.
He talked about the background behind the game for a bit noting that players will be going around "abandoned civilizations long after it's been overtaken by our enemies." However, hope still exists in the form of the last safe city on Earth. Players can find the tower at the heart of it. This is where you will go after adventures. It is also the place to claim rewards, buy and sell weapons and gear, and meet up with other people.
In the single player campaign, players will be able to discover our lost world by immersing themselves in the world and lore of Destiny.
Jones quickly shifted to multiplayer since he noted that the game was basically made for the co-op experience whether match made or with friends. It won't just be shooting enemies though since players can group up and simply explore the world. There's also a mode called Strike wherein people can team up to defeat an epic boss. The Crucible is an "intense competitive multiplayer" experience. However, the Vault of Glass is described to be the most challenging experience in the game and beating it can attain Destiny's ultimate reward.
He also touched upon some of the information that we previously reported in the past. The first look alpha also starts this week as signups begin.
Destiny will be released on September 9th for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
