Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida has spoken to Eurogamer to explain why The Last Guardian was missing once again from PlayStation's E3 media briefing.
Referring to false reports before E3 that The Last Guardian had been cancelled, Yoshida said many fans had tweeted their disappointment before the show.
"People are going through this roller coaster of emotions, and it’s our fault for not releasing the game, yet.
“We owe a lot to those people, but we really don’t want to release piecemeal information until we can say this is The Last Guardian – so we ask you to wait.”
The Last Guardian has had a difficult development losing its creative director who now consults on the project and its unclear when the game will resurface that most suspect The Last Guardian will be a PS4 release instead of a PS3 games as was originally planned when the game was announced way back in 2009.
Nevertheless, the game is still in development at Sony Japan Studios.
