Dead Rising 3 Coming to PC This Summer

June 5, 2014 by Stephen Daly

The former Xbox One exclusive is making its way to PC.

Capcom has announced that Xbox One launch title and former system exclusive Dead Rising 3 will be released for PC this summer.

The game is coming to Steam and to retail and gamers will be able to take on hoards of zombies "at high PC resolutions with fully optimized visuals."

Dead Rising 3 on PC will include Steam Cloud, trading cards, achievement, and both controller and mouse and keyboard support. You'll even be able to use an Xbox One controller if you're so inclined and you'll be able to switch between the two control schemes in realtime.

In my review of the game on Xbox One, I commented, "[Dead Rising 3] is held back by mediocre boss fights and poor controls and while the sheer number of zombies onscreen at any time can run to an impressive amount – often hundreds – there's little reason to believe that this game couldn't have been released five years ago."

There's a trailer for the PC version below.
