Sony has put out a new firmware update for its PlayStation 4 console, bringing it up to version 1.71. The firm released the update following a brief tease on Twitter today, which reads as follows:
PS4 system software update 1.71 coming soon, will improve software stability of some features. Reminder: Activate your automatic download

The update weighs in at 194MB and follows the PS4 firmware 1.7, which includes Share Factory and other updates.
Today’s update doesn’t offer much in the way of features, and came with a small patch note, which reads, “System software stability during use of some features has been improved.”
In other words, Share Factory will probably stop crashing for users who experienced instability with the software.
