Super Smash Bros. 4 Mushroom Kingdom Stage Revealed

June 2, 2014 by Ian Miles Cheong

A new stage exclusive to the Wii U version of SSB4 has been revealed.

Super Smash Bros. 4 game director Masahiro Sakurai has revealed new details about a new stage set to grace the upcoming fighting game, which is said to be exclusive to the Nintendo Wii U version of the game. Sakurai made the announcement in a recent post on Miiverse.

The stage is called Mushroom Kingdom U and, as the name suggests, is based on New Super Mario Bros U.

"When Kamek casts a spell, the stage transforms drastically," said Sakurai, who went on to state that "this is not what you would call a moving stage," which seems to imply that the stage will differ greatly from the auto-scrolling Mushroom Kingdom level in Super Smash Bros Brawl.

Sakurai confirmed that the newly revealed stage will be one of the playable levels in the next demo build of the game, which is slated for reveal at E3 2014 this year.
