Amazon UK has put up a placeholder listing for an unannounced Bethesda title ahead of any announcements made by the company.
The placeholder reads, “Bethesda E3 2014 Dummy” for launch on the PS3, PS4, PC, Wii, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Nintendo 3DS, and PlayStation Vita with a tentative release date of end of year 2014.
Does Amazon know something we don’t? Probably. The retailer receives information about game releases way ahead of the press, and this latest listing suggests that Bethesda may announce a title at E3 2014. While it’s anyone’s guess as to what game this is, we’re going to bet it’s id Software’s Doom 4, which Bethesda has made no secret about publishing.
We don’t expect Bethesda to announce their own game for a long time based on what Betheda’s VP of PR and Marketing Pete Hines said about the matter.
