We have new information on Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare that will surprise you.
This is a little tidbit found in the trailer. Of course, we can’t all go focusing on these details at the macro level when you’re watching it in YouTube, but you can see it plain as day below.
So, the bus’ brand humorously indicates ‘OLD ASS BUS’ at the back. This seems to just be a funny little tidbit the developers placed in. It should be interesting if Sledgehammer Games decides to run with it and make the company central to the plot.
There’s something else worth noticing though. Did you see the road signs?
Yep, it seems part of the game is set in Lagos, Nigeria. It does seem that Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will not be afraid to enter controversial territory. Perhaps much of the game will be set far out of the US, in what would be (perhaps unfortunately) perceived to be more conflict filled areas.
For some real life context, Lagos is the biggest city in Nigeria, and actually a self contained island. While Nigeria has had a history of several military juntas prior to democratization, Lagos isn't known as a setting for any relevant political events. So, Sledgehammer and Activision will be doing some fabricating on this one.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is coming November 4 to Windows, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
