Today, a new teaser trailer was released for the Avengers play set featured in Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes (2.0 Edition). It gave us a look at the heroes, villains, and the sandbox aspect of the game.
We were introduced to Loki and his ice dummy army before the rest of the Avengers gang stepped in the game. The trailer is set in New York City like in the first Avengers film. The Avengers play set is comprised of Black Widow, Captain America, Hulk, Iron Man, Thor and Hawk Eye. However, the starter pack comes with the base game, Infinity base, and three members of the Avengers.
Near the end of the trailer, we also got a look at the sandbox mode, which allows players to "create a universe." It seems that we can make our own version of Central Park based from what we've seen.
While the game highlights Marvel superheroes, Maleficent will also be making an appearance in the 2.0 edition. The game was teased only last month.
Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes (2.0 Edition) will be released sometime in September of this year.
