Deathloop Trailer Offers A Gameplay Refresher

March 2, 2021 by Dennis Patrick

In case you’ve been out of the loop.

Deathloop is one of the more anticipated video game titles that’s slated to hit the marketplace this year. Being developed by Arkane Studios, the project was set to release into the marketplace last year, in 2020. However, I’m sure you can guess what happened, but the worldwide health pandemic outbreak that is the coronavirus was responsible for pushing this project back. Now the studio is hopeful to see this title launch into the marketplace this year.

If you haven’t been keeping tabs with Deathloop, this is the next big FPS video game title from Arkane Studios, the folks that brought out the Dishonored series along with Prey. The studio has been pushing out Deathloop information rather regularly. Overall, the game throws players into the shoes of a master assassin who is stuck on an island under a time loop. The only way our protagonist, Colt, can escape the island is by tracking down several targets on the island and taking them out.

Of course, it’s not exactly the easiest thing to pull off. Colt will need to track these targets down in time and will have to deal with all the other hostile enemies that are lurking around. If Colt manages to die at any point during the game then he’s sent right back to the start of the loop. Meanwhile, there’s another master assassin on the island that’s after Colt so you’re constantly being hunted down.

We have also seen some unique power upgrades in a previous trailer which may help give players some edge during their hunt against the various targets. Likewise, we know that there is a multiplayer feature in this game as well with a secondary player being able to join your game as the opposing assassin hunting Colt down. For now, you can get a trailer recap of what the game is about above while we wait for its release this May 21, 2021, on the PC and PlayStation 5.
