Mass Effect 4 Might Be Called Mass Effect: Contact (Rumor)

The next Mass Effect title will likely not go by the name of Mass Effect 4, given that the original trilogy—Commander Shepard’s story—has ended.

Ahsan Rasheed, better known as thuway, a NeoGAFer who’s believed by many to have the inside scoop on the game, speculates that the game will be called Mass Effect: Contact, perhaps referring to the setting’s First Contact Wars.

Over on his Twitter account, Rasheed claims to have learned the name of the game and that it will be announced at the upcoming E3.

Even those who don’t put any stock into what he has to say will have to admit that E3 does sound like a likely time for BioWare to announce the upcoming game, which has been confirmed by the developers themselves to be in development.
