Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Info Blowout

May 5, 2014 by Stephen Daly

Troy Baker voicing main character, weapons list revealed, Sledgehammer hiring vehicle artist, and more.

Following Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare's leak last week, a flood of information about the game has been revealed.

Troy Baker will be voicing the main playable character. Baker is known for playing Joel in The Last of Us, Booker deWitt in BioShock Infinite, Delsin Rowe in inFamous: Second Son, and voices in many other games, including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

Advanced Warfare's campaign will not feature "disembodied voices talking over maps" before campaign missions, this has been the case in every previous Call of Duty game. Instead, the campaign will feature an immersive story with fully rendered cutscenes.

Soldiers in the game wear advanced exoskeletons which allow for enhanced player movements. Boost jumps, grappling, and covert cloaking mechanics have all been added.

Abilities include the option to boost jump towards cover, perform super jumps to reach elevated positions, hover in mid-air, climb building using magnetic gloves, and use camoflague. You can check out images of the exoskeleton below.

It's also emerged that Slegedhammer is hiring a weapons and vehicle artist for Advanced Warfare to create "hyper-realistic in-game assets".

You can also find a list of all known guns which will feature in game drawn from various screens and the trailer.
