In Dragon Age: Origins, players were able to play as humans, elves, and dwarves. The second game, Dragon Age 2, limited player heroes to humans alone.
The upcoming game, Dragon Age: Inquisition, will allow players to choose their character from a variety of different races once again, introducing the qunari as a player race, in addition to the dwarves, elves, and of course humans. All four races will be playable as either gender—male or female—and will feature race-specific content.
Today, BioWare released a piece of concept art on their official Facebook page depicting the player character as a qunari and a dwarf. The dwarf appears to be dual wielding two axes, while the qunari artwork hints that we may have pets or the ability to train a falcon (or what looks like a bearded vulture, in actuality) to support players in combat.
Until now, the studio has not revealed as to whether this will actually be the case, but we can cross our fingers and hope that falconry will be a part of the game.
