In an interview with Franchise Play, EA Sports UFC creative director Brian Hayes shares some information about their upcoming fighting game and comments on the Fight Night series.
Hayes talked about how he wants EA Sports UFC to achieve the same level of success as Fight Night Round 3 where people do a double take and they wouldn't believe that they were actually playing a video game. It's worth noting that the latter is the first game in the series to come out in the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. He also revealed that the they are spending "a vast amount of time on graphics" and assured fans that there would be high quality visuals in the creative fighter system.
Players will be able to use their likeness when creating a fighter using the Game Face technology. On the other hand, Fighter Share would not be supported because of legal issues they faced in the past Fight Night games. He cited examples wherein people would create boxers that were licensible entities like Rocky Balboa.
Lastly, he touched upon how it's also possible to have fights that end with a one-hit K.O. However, it won't be a result of a dice roll or sheer randomness like in past games. According to him, there will be a lot of variables coming in to play since he wants platers to learn how to create opportunities for it.
We recently posted that Bruce Lee would be a part of the game's pre-order bonus as a playable fighter. Check out the confirmed list of the game's fighting roster here.
EA Sports UFC is coming to Playstation 4 and Xbox One on June 17th.
