Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution will be the biggest Naruto game to date, and that’s not just because of the name. For original fans of the anime though, the big highlight is in the anime cutscenes in the game. They will tell a story that hasn’t been told in any other form thus far.
Particularly, the story of the origins of the Akatsuki, as well as the story of Shisui, and how he went about his plan to protect Uchiha and the Leaf Village. Sure, you know in some way or form how it panned out, but the game will actually let you play out these events. Furthermore, these are 50 minutes of full, original anime cutscenes made just for the game.
The roster will have over 100 playable characters including the Edo Kage, and the game will introduce team ultimate jutsus to the franchise. It will also have a new Ninja World Tournament Mode where 1 human player takes on 3 AI opponents.
Now, we also have new information on the collector’s editions, at least those bound for Europe. The Rivals Edition will allow you to play Naruto and Sasuke in each other’s clothes, and these will not be resold again later (or so they say). The Samurai Edition gives Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke alike samurai armor, and will come with an actual 17 cm Naruto Samurai action figure, as well as a metal tin.
