Easily one of the most anticipated video game titles of 2020 has been CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077. The video game development studio has been teasing this game for years and it seemed like the anticipation was only building day after day. It’s a dangerous game to play as fans quickly raised the bar in terms of expectations for this next thrilling RPG title. However, no one in the world could have predicted what 2020 would bring.
After 2020 hit the world was also struck by a massive worldwide health pandemic outbreak. Thanks to this coronavirus health pandemic, most of the world was shut down and civilians were forced into social distancing or quarantine at their homes. It’s been a struggle, to say the least, and on top of that several videos, game studios forced projects to be delayed out of 2020 for a new launch date in 2021. Fortunately for players, Cyberpunk 2077 wasn’t one of the games that got delayed out of 2020, although it came very close to it.
After several days within 2020, CD Projekt Red managed to release Cyberpunk 2077 into the market on December 10, 2020. Unfortunately, the game was released with a slew of bugs and technical problems that resulted in countless refunds being issued. Regardless, there were still a ton of praise for this title despite the flaws that the studio still needed to clear out. If you’ve been following this game project before it was released, you knew that there were plans to showcase the post-launch content before the title launched.
That changed after so many delays hit Cyberpunk 2077. We’re still waiting for CD Projekt Red to start hyping up the big expansions that will be coming out for this game in the future along with the multiplayer component. Outside of those components, there were also said to be free DLC packs that would be available for the game after launch. Again, like the expansions and multiplayer elements to Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt Red has yet to unveil just what players can expect.
However, we now know just when we can expect the Cyberpunk 2077 free DLC is starting release into the title. According to a blog post on the official Cyberpunk 2077 website, players can expect free DLC to start hitting Night City within the start of 2021. Unfortunately, we’re having to wait to find out just what type of free DLC is set to release for the game.
