Destiny PVP Is Addictive, Say Bungie Devs; Surprise Destiny Community Gift Unboxed

April 4, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

Just a little more info to help tide you over.

We have some new information for you from Bungie’s upcoming shooter Destiny. No, not really any leaks, but some tidbits we think you’ll be happy you learned.

All I want to do when I get home is play our PvP. So good and so addicting!

— Kevin Yanes (@Tocom11) April 4, 2014

First off, we found some interesting conversation between two Destiny devs on Twitter. No, we don’t think they orchestrated this or anything like that, it’s way too casual. Still, though, they joke about hijacking a room for the night and raiding the beer fridge, just to keep playing PVP.

@Tocom11 @_mantis_ We hijack a lab and raid the beer fridge and make our own, Yanes. What's that phrase about asking for forgiveness?

They also mildly mock a fan for fishing for information (asking if it’s eSports worthy), but no, they didn’t leak any actual game  details here.

@IsDestinyOutYet @Tocom11 Does our Cabal of secrets Vex you too often?

If the devs aren’t sharing any info, we know other people are. A YouTuber, presumably a randomly selected fan, has outed the contents of a package he received from Bungie here:

Simply put, they sent a surprise package with some swag, including a Destiny iPhone case, a Destiny USB stick, which actually has the game trailers and screenshots, and a sleek (nonbranded) moleskine notebook. Of course, they also share a lot of promotional material, which you can hear about straight from the video.

So, does this info whet your appetite? Or are you hungry for more? We’ll share with you what we find as we come across them. Destiny is coming to Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Playstation 4, and Xbox One, this September 9.
