Spanish developer Rosebud Games has launched a new Kickstarter for an open-world psychological FPS set in ghoulish 1940s America called Death in Candlewood.
The game is being created by developers who've previously worked on The Witcher, FEAR, Silent Hill, and BioShock.
Jay Kyburz, BioShock's environment lead, says:
"Death in Candlewood combines inventive gameplay with romantic storytelling, and sets it all in a gorgeously realised world. A brutal, beautiful shooter – fans of BioShock should love it!"
The game is being developed for PC and Rosebud is seeking $60,000 but will make an optimised Oculus Rift version should backers offer $100,000.
If you're feeling particularly generous, donating $10,000 will grant you the opportunity to design your own level, be a consultant on all of the game's betas, and enjoy Rosebud games free for life among other bonuses.
Death in Candlewood is aiming for an April 2015 release.
