We’ve seen champions, top-contenders, and Octagon legends added to the EA Sports UFC roster and boy, do they ever look sharp. The next-generation project is trying to become the most realistic MMA game to ever hit the marketplace, but that doesn’t mean the team can’t have a little bit of fun with one of the playable characters. According to the game’s Twitter account, a mystery fighter who’s never fought in the UFC is going to be added to the final game – with hints of this person’s identity being dispersed all week.

So, who could it be? Well, just because this person has never fought inside the Octagon, doesn’t mean he or she isn’t a fighter. This could be a standout from another organization, like Pride or Strikeforce. One name that really stands out is Gina Carano, who’s considered a pioneer for women’s MMA.
We’ll continue to see clues (there are six in all) during the week, and hopefully be able to nail down this “mystery fighter” before the April 6 reveal.
