Diablo 3, Hearthstone and World of Warcraft Affected by DDOS Attacks in Europe

An official Blizzard post on the Battle.net forums has warned European gamers that their experience with Diablo 3, Hearthstone, Starcraft 2 and World of Warcraft may be severely impacted by on-going DDOS attacks against European internet service providers (ISPs).

The blue post warns of chances of disconnections and high latency as a result of the attacks, which should be enough to give Hardcore players in Diablo 3 cause for concern.

Blizzard itself is not the target of the attacks, but their service has been impacted nonetheless.

“While we are closely monitoring the situation we wanted to thank you for your patience and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause,” Blizzard said.

So if you don’t want to lose your character to latency issues and disconnects, be sure to play on a non-HC character until it blows over.
