Razer certainly has been releasing some insane video game products, haven’t they? CEO Min-Liang Tan seems to be willing to take on anything, as he’s seemingly offered Notch a chance to make their own VR headset.
@notch perhaps we can help out. Will be in touch.

But is Min-Liang Tan serious or not? Frankly, this would not be above him. Since making their name with PC gaming peripherals like mice, keyboards, and headphones, Razer has expanded to some truly premium products.
So, they have the Razer Blade series of laptops, which are sleek, powerful, optimized for gaming, and probably beyond your price range. They made the Edge, essentially the 1st tablet that can run full PC games. They have the Atrox arcade joystick, which does stand toe to toe with older competitors like Hori and Madcatz. They also offer the 1st gaming designed mechanical switch keyboards.
Now, here’s where we get to the crazy stuff. You may not remember, it but Razer revealed their prototype plans for a modular PC standard that they were going to spearhead. For those who are wondering, Project Christine hasn’t become reality yet, but the page is still up there, and we have every reason to believe Razer intends to make this thing.
Of course, the craziest thing is with the way things are going now, Razer could legitimately get their VR efforts off the ground before Project Christine. Razer has also earned a reputation for quality, if pricey, products, and what they don’t know about making VR, they can definitely learn / get from hiring other devs / buying outlying projects. It would be Razer’s most ambitious foray yet, and knowing Min-Liang Tan’s passion as a gamer himself, you know they would try to do justice by it.
