Minecraft Xbox 360 & PS3: TU14 Potions Explained

March 25, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

There are only two new potions, but we’re sure you will really want to get these.

This is a guide for the new potions that came with TU14 for Minecraft for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

There are just two new potions, but they are very useful: Invisibility and Night Vision. These have now become available thanks to Golden Carats and Fermented Spider Eyes.

To make Golden Carats, take a regular Carat, surround it with eight Gold Nuggets, and then craft it. For Fermented Spider Eyes, you take a regular Spider Eye, a Brown Mushroom, and a Piece of Sugar from Sugarcane, and craft that. Of the two, Golden Carats will be harder to make because of the comparative scarcity of gold carats. Overall, however, neither are that hard to make.

Golden Carats are called secondary ingredients, while Fermented Spider Eyes are called modifiers. The Invisibility potion is a secondary positive potion, while Night Vision is a tertiary positive potion. Both potions last for three minutes.

Without a doubt, both potions provide useful new effects, and will expand gameplay for both Xbox 360 and PS3 owners.
