Alpha Gameplay Footage of Mighty No. 9 Unveiled

March 20, 2014 by Ian Miles Cheong

Comcept has revealed alpha gameplay footage of its upcoming title.

Japanese game developer Comcept has released a new trailer for Mighty No. 9, showcasing alpha gameplay footage of the upcoming title as well as reveals for the robot bosses (Mighty Nos. 1 to 8). The footage, which was originally revealed at the Game Developers Conference, shows its creator Keiji Inafune sitting down to play an alpha version of the game.

Much like its spiritual predecessor Mega Man, the player will have to defeat each boss as he or she progresses throughout the game and acquire their special abilities.

Mighty No. 9 was announced as a Kickstarter project last september, garnering millions of dollars over its initial $900,000 goal in pledges. It’s being developed for the PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, Wii U, 3DS, vita, Mac and Linux.
