EA games has secured the rights to Titanfall 2, based on the success of the first game, which was released earlier this month.
GameSpot reports that the option to land a sequel to Titanfall was based on the performance of the first game, which performed well and helped to boost the sales of the Xbox One.
EA has not yet commented on the development, but it doesn’t seem outside the realm of possibility.
Titanfall is available on the PC and Xbox One. The Xbox 360 version of the game has since been delayed to April 8. Given the exclusivity of Titanfall to Microsoft platforms, it is unknown whether the Titanfall sequel will see release on Sony’s PlayStation 4 platform.
