The First Episode Of Life Is Strange 2 Is Now Free

September 17, 2020 by Dennis Patrick

Try the game out today.

Dontnod Entertainment is a pretty well-known video game development studio today. These are the folks that brought out the Life is Strange franchise which the first season went on to become a massive hit. Fans couldn’t get enough of the drama and supernatural filled adventure between Max and Chloe. However, the developers have since gone on to give fans another installment to the beloved franchise with Life is Strange 2. This latest game features a brand new storyline that’s centered around two brothers.

Life is Strange 2 has been available in its entirety for a good little while now, but if you were on the fence on whether purchasing the season is worth the cost or not, then today you’ll be able to try the game out completely for free. It’s not unusual to see episodic games release the first episode for free, especially if the season is complete and available for players to pick up. Today through a press release, Square Enix is alerting potential fans that the first episode of Life is Strange 2 is available for free.

Players will be able to experience the first chapter of Daniel and Sean’s journey which is triggered after a tragic incident. Fearing the police, the brothers take off on their journey to reach Mexico, but the road ahead is full of obstacles and dangers. Much like the first installment to the franchise, a large part of this game is based around choices that will alter the narrative and even provide certain endings.

Players that may want to try the first episode which will give you three hours of gameplay can do so right now on the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms. Likewise, if you would like to see more information about the game and our overall thoughts, then check out the Before You Buy episode down below.
