Sports games look damn good on the PlayStation 4. We’ve learned that from stunners like NBA 2K14 and FIFA 14, so as you’d guess, the anticipation surrounding the next-generation of baseball has been strong. Unfortunately for those who were looking forward to bringing in the new baseball season with a fresh copy of The Show on PS4, developer Sony San Diego announced today that the best-looking version of the project won’t arrive until May.
May 6 is the date that baseball fans who picked up a PlayStation 4 should be looking forward to. That’s more than a full month after the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions are expected to hit, which is April 1 – right around opening day. At this time, the reasoning behind the long wait hasn’t been revealed.
What we do know is that the PS4 version of MLB 14 The Show runs in 1080p at 60fps and includes 1,000 different crowd models. It’s pretty and likely worth the wait for next-gen consumers.
