Naughty Dog creative director Neil Druckmann has told IGN that The Last of Us movie will be "an adaptation of the story" of the game.
Druckmann, who is penning that movie's script, said:
"It’s an adaptation of the story of The Last of Us. As far as where we go and how we make it fit into a film, how it takes into account the unique properties of film… We’re not sure yet. We’re only just scratching the surface."
Speaking at the game BAFTAs last night, at which The Last of Us won five awards, he added that fans should expect another multiplayer DLC drop soon and, when pressed on the possibility of a sequel, commented:
"We don’t know yet. We're still trying to figure it out. We’re brainstorming some stuff, so we’ll see where that goes."
It was confirmed earlier this month that The Last of Us was getting the film treatment with Evil Dead director Sam Raimi's Ghost House production company overseeing the movie.
Naughty Dog is currently developing a new Uncharted for PlayStation 4 but details have yet to be revealed on the game.
